A partnership for strength and growth
Through partnership, LT McGuinness and Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira have created Rāranga. Te Rūnanga O Toa Rangatira is the iwi authority and administrative body for Ngāti Toa Rangatira in the Wellington Region. They’re working for a strong, vibrant and influential iwi firmly grounded in cultural identity and leading change to enhance wellbeing and prosperity. They have a deep love for Wellington, it’s people and a desire to see it continue to develop and thrive.
Toa Rangatira Marae was opened in 1901 in Takapuwahia. It was built on ancestral land and it was named after the chief Toa Rangatira of the Ngāti Toa iwi.
